It is well known that Port Stanley has a feral cat problem with cats being abandoned, living wild, and having kittens. We are dedicated to help "do something" about this situation.
Port Stanley Cat Rescue is a non-profit organization with a mission to trap, treat and sterilize stray cats in the Port Stanley woodland areas and to find homes willing to adopt or foster abandoned cats who are left on our streets and beaches.
Through the help of volunteers we trap feral cats, check them for feline diseases and, if healthy, vaccinate and spay or neuter. Once the cats have been altered, we either release them back to where they were found (if they cannot be socialized) or try to find a suitable home for very friendly and healthy cats. This is where you can help! We are always looking for foster or adoptive homes.
No municipal resources are provided to Port Stanley Cat Rescue. All of our goals are achieved through volunteers, donations, fund raising and support from the community.
